How ECU tuning works on a petrol Peugeot 807

Petrol engines are remapped by refining fuelling, ignition timing and, on turbocharged engines, boost control. Done carefully this releases performance the manufacturer left in reserve, giving sharper throttle response and a stronger top end.

Among the 3 petrol 807 engines we have figures for, the 2.0 136 ranks 3rd for power gain, 2 bhp below the 807 petrol average of 22 bhp.
